✣ Pre-placed Lawn Crypts
At Mountain Grove, we understand that it is important to have your family laid to rest together. Lawn Crypts are located in one section of the cemetery in an attractive setting. Lawn crypts are pre-placed double-depth cement burial vaults for two interments which offer a great value for any couple. Openings aren't as expensive as other burial options, and our Lawn Crypts even include a bronze marker.

Mausoleum Crypts
A mausoleum is a free-standing structure that encloses a burial chamber. Families choose mausoleum crypts because they can hold the remains of multiple family members who wish to remain together. The bodies are stored above ground within the crypts. One of the main advantages of a mausoleum is that it is designed to withstand weather and protect the remains.
Garden Mausoleum
Garden Mausoleum: The magnificent Garden Mausoleum at Mountain Grove was created for perpetual and dignified above-ground entombment as a fitting and lasting memorial to your loved ones. Designed to harmonize with the architecture of other structures on the grounds, the Garden Mausoleum is designed so that every crypt faces out upon the cemetery or in toward a lovely garden. Although the crypts in this building have been sold out, the Garden Mausoleum expresses the permanence, peacefulness and dignity that is Mountain Grove.
Chapel Mausoleum
Chapel Mausoleum: Dedicated in 1985, the Chapel Mausoleum is an attractive extension of Read Memorial Chapel. Together with the Pilgrimage Mausoleum, it offers a variety of crypts, including tandem, companion, and Westminster configurations. A more traditional structure, the Chapel Mausoleum was created using a beautiful Gothic architectural style.
Pilgrimage Mausoleum
Pilgrimage Mausoleum:
Our newest mausoleum, the Pilgrimage Mausoleum was dedicated in 1996. The architecture of the Pilgrimage Mausoleum includes angles of the building which define and illuminate the space and the skylights create a feeling of openness. The structure incorporates seven different granites, cedar, and glass, and features dogwood and rhododendron mosaics. The courtyard is the perfect place to reflect in the peaceful simplicity of nature, and includes a recessed fountain area and surrounded by crypt space with green granite fronts.
The Pilgrimage Mausoleum has options of over 600 crypts and 500 columbarium niches to meet your individual needs. Families whose needs exceed 5 or more casket spaces should consider purchasing exclusive or shared rights to one of four, family rooms. Each room is carpeted and will be finished in fine Italian marble. Entry to each area is by key only, allowing each family the optimum in privacy and the ability to personalize this space.

✣ If you have chosen cremation, you are among a rapidly growing number of people in the world who have made the same decision. In North America alone, cremations have nearly doubled since 1973. Mountain Grove offers extensive choices of where to place cremated remains.
Columbarium Niches
Among the most popular choice of where to place cremated remains are columbarium niches, or recessed compartments. Columbarium niches are located inside Read Memorial Chapel
or in beautifully designed columbarium walls adjoining the chapel and as part of our Chapel and Pilgrimage Mausoleums. Columbarium niches may have open fronts protected by glass (clear, stained, tinted, frosted, or etched), or closed fronts faced with bronze, marble, or granite.
Urn Gardens
Urn Gardens are also available for those who prefer traditional ground burial for cremated remains, and Mountain Grove provides a natural setting with in-ground markers to memorialize the deceased.
